Two cups of black beans or kidney beans (or you can use one cup of each)
500 to 600 grams of ground beef (you can use ground chicken or turkey as an alternative if you prefer)
One cup of chopped carrots
One cup of corn niblets
One chopped onion
Two chopped tomatoes
One large green pepper chopped
Five garlic cloves chopped
One heaping teaspoon of salt
Half a teaspoon of red chilli powder ( you can add a whole teaspoon if you prefer it to be more spicy)
Two cups of tomato sauce
Combine all the ingredients into a slow cooker and cook it at high for approximately three to four hours or on low for approximately six to eight hours.
Once all the ingredients have cooked and dissolved into chili, it will be ready to eat.
You can garnish your chili with grated cheese and green onions (optional) prior to serving it. Enjoy!
